Directions
What makes these burgers Hawaiian? They have pineapple. And barbecue sauce. Hey, I’ve never been to Hawaii, so I don’t know what their burgers are like! They probably don’t involve sweet potato, but they should, because it goes great with pineapple and barbecue sauce.

Heat barbecue grill plate or chargrill pan. Cut the chicken fillets in half horizontally. Season with salt and pepper. |

Lay the ham and pineapple slices on a tray. Brush with maple syrup. Lightly spray the grill with oil. Cook chicken for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through. Place on a clean tray, cover and keep warm. |

Cook ham and pineapple slices for 1-2 minutes each side until lightly golden. Split buns in half and toast until golden. Place the base of each bun onto a serving plate. |
